Your Priorities are Our Priorities

1. Careful management of Spelthorne’s finances in a difficult economic climate. We have delivered 0% council tax rises for two years, while protecting the frontline services that are so important to our residents.
2. Protecting our town centres and the local shops our communities need. We’ve invested £600,000 in improvements, and we’re campaigning against proposed parking fees that would impact our local shops.
3. Providing vital services for our older residents, such as Spelride and Meals-on- Wheels. We’ve rebuilt Sunbury’s Benwell Day Centre, and the new Stanwell Health and Community Centre will open this summer.
4. Creating cleaner streets for Spelthorne. Introducing new dog-fouling by-law, to be enforced by additional wardens. New anti-graffiti and anti–litter campaign.
5. Caring for and protecting our environment. We’ve doubled our recycling rate and want to increase it further. We campaigned against the EcoPark and gravel extraction at Manor Farm.
